Buying Restaurant Choice gift cards
You can purchase Restaurant Choice gift cards from leading Australian retailers such as Woolworths, Coles and Australia Post. For a complete list of participating retailers, please visit here. Soon you’ll also be able to buy Restaurant Choice gift cards from this website.
No. Currently you can only buy Restaurant Choice gift cards from participating retailers.
If you bought a Restaurant Choice gift card in store, the return policy of that store is applicable.
Using your Restaurant Choice gift card
When paying your restaurant bill, present your gift card to the restaurant and let them know what amount you wish to pay with your gift card. You can choose to either pay the full bill with your gift card (if your balance is sufficient), or you can split the payment between your gift card and another payment method.
No. You can use your gift card multiple times, as long as your card hasn’t expired and the balance on your card is in credit. If the payment amount is less than the gift card amount, the remaining balance will stay on your gift card as long as it is valid.
You can use your Restaurant Choice gift card in a wide range of popular restaurants and dining chains across Australia. To search for restaurants, visit here. Please note that this list is subject to change.
No. The Restaurant Choice gift card can only be spent in restaurants that are shown on this website. If a restaurant in one of the participating chains is not on the website, please contact us with the name and location of that restaurant.
Your gift card can be spent on all food and all drinks including soft drinks, alcohol, set menus and a la carte menus in the restaurant.
No. You can only use your gift card to pay for meals you enjoy in the restaurant.
Whether you can use your gift card during a promotional period is at the discretion of each participating restaurant. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you mention you wish to pay with a Restaurant Choice gift card when you make a booking or when you arrive at the restaurant.
Yes. Your gift card can be spent at any time as long as your gift card is valid and your card’s balance is in credit.
Please note, paying with your gift card is processed as a standard eftpos transaction. Please confirm that the restaurant staff attempted to process your payment with your gift card as an eftpos transaction. If your gift card still does not work, for assistance please contact us with the restaurant’s details, the details of your visit, and your gift card’s number. You can also call us on 1300 252 250.
Balance and validity
To check your gift card’s balance, please check the balance online or call 1300 252 250.
Your gift card is valid for three years from the date of purchase. Please note, the date of purchase can differ from the date when you have received your gift card. To check whether your gift card is still valid, please visit here or call 1300 252 250.
Once your gift card has expired it can no longer be used. The Restaurant Choice program does not offer a grace period. Instead, we have extended the validity period for our gift cards from 1-year to 3-years.
Gift cards are activated at the point of sale. If your gift card is invalid this often means that the merchant did not properly activate the card.
- If the gift card was bought in store, please go back to the store with your gift card and sales receipt to have it activated.
- If your gift card was bought online, please email us with your card number and order ID.
- If you have received your gift card as a gift, please check where it was purchased with the person who gave you the gift card.
No. The gift card is like cash so it cannot be replaced when lost or stolen.
