Life’s a beach at Sandbar. This eatery across from the big blue sea is not your average brunching spot. While all your standard egg, bacon and breakfast combos are on offer, there are also some creative and interesting things to try from the specials board, like the breakfast special of North African cous cous and chickpea bowl with white bean dip and poached egg. The house specialty is espetada (skewered beef) and the kitchen also make a mean seafood gumbo. The shared seafood and grilled meats platters are an excellent way to spend the afternoon, with a glass of refreshing wine or beer to hand of course. The place really starts jumping from lunchtime onwards, and with good reason. This is a great setting with excellent food and a great, casual crowd. An excellent choice for seafood dining on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
