Quanjude Melbourne

Quanjude Melbourne is imperial- style Chinese dining. Located in Melbourne’s CBD, the opulent dining room is dressed in deep reds, golds and yellows, furnished with heavy rosewood high-backed chairs. When you arrive, you really do feel as if you are walking into another world. So, what brings you here? The Peking duck of course. It is some of the best you will find in Melbourne and a date with the duck is the reason diners continue to return to this Melbourne stalwart. Tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, roast duck is wrapped in wafer-thin pancakes with spring onions and hoisin sauce. And that’s just the first course. Beyond duck, there is a six-course banquet menu including super-fresh steamed barramundi with crispy green spring onions and sitting in a light broth as well as beef, seafood straight from the tank and a great selection of vegetarian dishes. But Peking duck at this end of town is a beautiful ritual whether dining for two or with a big boisterous group.
