Philhellene Provical Greek Cuisine

A favourite with locals and a desination sought out by foodies, a visit to Philhellene is like visiting your own big Greek family. From the minute you walk into the wonderful space, heaving with diners who come for the most delicious of provincial Greek food, you’ll be swept up in the wonderful feel of this place. The family owned and run diner uses generations old family recipes with premium produce to create memory-making cuisine. The seasonal specials board is the first must-do at this place. Truly, they are a standout. To name just a few, favourite dishes include the pork with celery fricassee, slow roasted kid goat, zucchini flowers stuffed with herbed rice and silverbeet dolmade filled with beef mince, herbs and rice. This is to say nothing of the standard menu which includes Greek favourites like saganaki, tender calamari and moussaka. There are of course plenty of vegan and vegetarian options to enjoy and check out the specials board when seeking a sweet end to your meal. Wash your meal down with one of the many wines on offer. The wine list includes a range of Greek reds and whites which are fun to get to know, and there is also a range of Greek beers on offer. Become a friend to this restaurant: one visit will not be enough. It is a most excellent Greek eating house.
