La Lanterna

Sitting on the Redcliffe peninsula with views of Moreton Bay, this place is a knockout, a standout and a stand-alone. La Laterna specialises in serving authentic cuisine from the coastal region of north western Italy, Liguria. This includes focaccia, pasta, seafood and meats, all cooked simply and honestly using locally sourced ingredients and premium Italian imports. The dining room is small, colourfully and lovingly decorated, and the atmosphere is light-hearted and fun. All of that said, the owners and floor staff are knowledgeable and passionate about serving the best of food and the best of wine. The meals are top-notch, and the staff will help navigate the wine list. At under $40, the five course chefs special plus dessert is fantastic value and the opportunity to sample the widest range of this delicious Ligurian menu. Dining at La Laterna is an experience in Italian dining which is not to be missed. And you can be assured, that one single visit will simply not be enough.
