Kri Kri

This Greek restaurant at the theatre end of Little Bourke Street has been serving up banquets to diners for over a decade. Kri Kri specialises in mezethes-style dining – like meze or tapas – where to dine is to be presented with a parade of sharing plates. Mediterranean flavours – robust olive oils, the cut through of lemon, bitter and bright parsley, and the flush of ruby red tomatoes – shine through in every dish from the kitchen’s selection of super-fresh ingredients. With dishes including succulent pork belly, portobello mushrooms stuffed with goat and feta cheese, saganaki and crispy chargrilled octopus, Kri Kri is heaven on a fork. Just one minute’s walk from the Princess Theatre, this Greek diner is accustomed to filling up diners before they catch their show, so the service is both friendly and speedy when you need it to be. The drinks list makes for happy reading with plenty of local and Greek varieties to explore. Kri Kri is not just great before a show, it is an excellent city rendez-vous for Greek feasting anytime.
