The food is an adventure in spicy balance as the adept and creative staff meld Mediterranean, French and contemporary cuisine to create food which is exciting, interesting and very satisfying. The meals are made for sharing and favourites include lamb tagine, spiced Iranian rice (shirin polow) and the slow roasted brisket for two. There are plenty of vegetarian options including a fabulous tomato salad with almonds, riberry and salted barberry or the salted zucchini beautifully dressed with labne, lemon myrtle and onions and raisins. The room itself is a contemporary design with a fabulous open kitchen and bar so you can watch the machinations of the restaurant at play. Floor staff are friendly and smart, and the comprehensive beverage list will bring a smile to every dial. This refreshing and vibrant eatery is an exciting arrival to the Brisbane dining scene. And it is very, very welcome.
