1802 Oyster Bar

Located right on Coffin Bay, 1802 Oyster Bar is a stunning destination for fine dining and a wonderful opportunity to sample local produce. The dining and bar menu predominantly focus on seafood hauled in from nearby waters so dining here is a great opportunity to sample the local fruits de mer. Coffin Bay oysters are renowned and loved in Australia and beyond, and at 1802, they are served up in all manner of ways: natural, with chorizo, with blue cheese or coated in hazelnut crumbs with apple puree. The kitchen lovingly prepares excellent kingfish and buckets of Spencer Gulf prawns. You can sample more than just the seafood of the region – there is a trio of pork and the chargrilled scotch fillet – but really, you are best served if you delve right into the local ocean treats with a glass of locally produced wine or sparkling wine bursting with bubbles. 1802 Oyster Bar is an absolute pearl of a place, for locals and visitors alike.
